Idaho Rush is the Treasure Valley's answer to soccer. With registrants in the Boise, Eagle and Meridian areas, we are able to randomly form teams that allow players to meet new friends and reduce the atmosphere of competition. The intent of the Recreation program is to try to make practice and game locations as convenient as possible. Teams are formed by age and gender based on the geographic area of town you live in. Teams should practice around the area you live in. Game locations are at Simplot sports complex and/or Optimist Youth Sports Complex both located in Boise on Saturdays for 6 weeks.
In the fall the games start the Saturday after the labor day holiday and in the spring the first game is usually the final Saturday in March or the first Saturday in April to avoid playing games over spring break weekends.
For carpooling reasons and to keep siblings together, players may request to be rostered with ONE other player of the same age group. Teams are formed randomly and could change from season to season.
Players registering after the posted deadlines are rostered on a space-available basis, which may mean a player will be assigned to a team outside their geographic area.
All coaches, referees, and other officials and administrators are volunteers. Each team must supply a coach, and a referee for home games from the team parent pool or find someone other than a parent to fill the positions. Online and in person training is provided for coaches."
