Four Idaho Rush teams came away with Championship titles at the Performance Cup last weekend. Idaho Rush even had one tournament championship from our U9 select boys' team playing up at the U10 competitive level. Congratulations on a job well done.

Idaho Rush United U9 Boys (Coach - Bret Ogata) CHAMPIONS
The surprise of the tournament had to be the success of the Select program's Idaho Rush United U9 boys.  The U9 United team played in a combined U9/U10 Division and won three of their three games out scoring their opponents 24-5. The team started off on the right foot with a massive win 9-2 over FC Nova Gunner Black, and then followed up with an 11-0 win over Boise Nationals. Rush United was onto the finals Sunday afternoon where they faced another FC Nova team but came away on top 4-3 to win the bracket.

Idaho Rush Premier U14 Girls (Coach - Gary Kincaid) CHAMPIONS

The U14 Premier Girls battled it out in pouring down rain Friday evening, securing a massive win over Boise Nationals 1-0. On Saturday, girls were matched up with our Montana neighbors, Helena Arsenal and put 5 in the net, beating them 5-1 and earning a place in the Championship game on Sunday.  The rainy skies parted to show some blue for the girls' game against GBYSL from Nevada.  With a score of 0-0, a lightning delay of 30 minutes was called with only 12 minutes left in the game! The lightning dissipated the girls took the field keeping their momentum up to finish out their last 12 minutes both teams tired, muddy, soaked from rain and ready to put this game to rest.  In the last 50 seconds, Idaho Rush snuck one in and won 1-0, Champions of the weekend.
